The International Registration Plan (IRP) lets carriers legally operate in multiple jurisdictions using a single apportioned registration, with registration fees distributed based on the miles traveled in each jurisdiction.

Common questions
Who needs IRP plates?
Generally, power units over 26,000 lbs (or with three or more axles) that travel in two or more IRP jurisdictions need apportioned registration.
What documents do I need?
Typically title or bill of sale, Form 2290 Schedule 1, proof of insurance and your USDOT number. We'll send you a checklist for your exact case.
